We are excited to announce that Glycanostics placed third in Vodafone’s Idea of the Year 2018 competition, a prestigious event for early-stage startups. The competition’s objectives are to actively support innovative projects with high market potential by providing mentoring, mediating investments worth up to CZK 10 million, internationalizing projects, and establishing beneficial contacts. It’s the oldest startup competition in the Czech Republic, and each year new features are added to open additional opportunities to its participants.
Tomas Bertok, Co-Founder of Glycanostics Ltd. comments:
“We’d like to thank the organizers for such an amazing event! It was very exciting to become a finalist competing with over 200 innovative startups. And, of course, it’s very encouraging when experienced entrepreneurs, investors and media professionals in the jury see the global potential of our project. We are definitely on the right track and are going to move, step by step, to bring our innovation to the market and help thousands of people worldwide to avoid cancer misdiagnosis!”
Another great experience within this competition was Mentoring Day. All mentors personally dedicated themselves to ten finalists and gave them valuable advice in areas such as strategy, sales, finance, and technology. The mentoring day was full of feedback discussions and special, intensive workshops focused on sales and financial management.
